Labuan Bajo seaplane transfers, patched from your Komodo Airport arrival to the water
Labuan Bajo Seaplane is an independent coordination desk run by Juara Holding Group. We do not fly the aircraft. We arrange, with licensed operators, what happens after you land at Komodo Airport (LBJ): resort water landings, harbour and phinisi rendezvous, and Flores Sea scenic circuits — quoted in writing, always subject to the operator's weather and sea-state call.
Drawer 01 · The Patch Test
Same-day float window: patch your feeder to a float target
Choose what brings you into LBJ and where the seaplane should take you. The board draws the cord and lights one honest lamp — green, amber or red — with the flags the desk will put in the quote anyway.
The 90-minute buffer, the 11:00 and 15:00 windows and the season split are desk planning assumptions, not operator rules. Landing points depend on operator approval, sea state and, inside protected waters, the park authority. Feeder times are route summaries as of September 2026, approximate. as of 2026

Drawer 03 · Landing-point dependency register
A landing is never guaranteed — here is what each one depends on
Filled holes are the consents the operator needs before a water landing is confirmed. The last column says whether the seaplane is a transfer necessity or an experience for that landing point.

- Dry
- Roughly April/May–October/November: calmer seas, better visibility, mornings smoother.
- Shoulder
- April and November turn either way; the morning window still holds best.
- Wet
- Roughly November/December–March: stronger wind, higher waves in the Flores Sea and Sape Strait, more delays.
- High season
- July–August and Christmas–New Year: book early, last-minute seats scarce.

How a quote moves across this desk
-
01
Send three facts
Your arrival flight into LBJ, your party size, and the destination — resort, island, harbour, vessel or circuit. On WhatsApp or email, any hour.
-
02
Written quote from a licensed operator
The desk checks the float window and the landing dependencies, then returns the operator's written quote: per seat or per flight, with the flags printed plainly.
-
03
Confirmation, subject to the day
You confirm; the operator makes the weather and sea-state call on the day. If the sea says no, the desk rebooks the next morning window or a road-and-boat alternative.

Drawer 08 · Desk questions
Six questions the desk answers every week
Can I float the same day from a Bali DPS arrival?
Often, if you land by mid-morning. Bali to LBJ is about 1h10; add about 90 minutes landside and a float before 11:00 is the smooth window. Afternoon arrivals are possible but sea-state exposed, and anything later means overnight in Labuan Bajo. Desk planning assumption, not an operator rule.
Is a water landing guaranteed once I have paid?
No. Every landing depends on operator approval, sea state and, inside protected waters, the park authority — plus the resort's or vessel master's consent. The quote lists these; the operator makes the call on the day.
Is the price per seat or per flight?
Both structures exist: per seat on shared sectors, per flight on private charter. There is no verified public seaplane fare in Indonesia; the licensed operator quotes in writing, as of 2026, subject to change.
What changes in the wet season?
Roughly November/December to March brings stronger wind and higher waves in the Flores Sea and Sape Strait, so delays and holds are more common. Mornings stay the better window all year.
What is the luggage limit?
Commonly 15–20 kg per person on single-engine types, which seat up to about 8. Both figures are confirmed on the quote for the aircraft actually assigned.
Do you fly the aircraft yourselves?
No. Labuan Bajo Seaplane is an independent coordination desk of Juara Holding Group,. We arrange with licensed operators and are not affiliated with any resort or operator named here.
Drawer 09 · Desk line
